Blind Man's Shave (Love Angel) - Macmichael [Unreleased]

When I’m not falling through the cracks
I’m standing on a line
I pray for love to rescue me
And blow it every time
To get it right, to have a lovin’ angel of my own
Was all I’d ever wanted
Was all I’d ever known….

So when my prayers were answered
And she came into my life,
Although my eyes were open
They might as well have been blind.
Like elephants we danced
A huge and clumsy love affair,
But the ringmaster was jaded
And the clowns worked overtime….

Love’s angel took a blind man’s shave on my heart
My love angel must have laced up her shoes in the dark
Fools might say that love is fair
As they tumble down the stairs
Love’s angel took a blind man’s shave on my heart

Be careful what you dream about
It might someday come true.

Love’s angel took a blind man’s shave on my heart
My love angel must have laced up her shoes in the dark
Well at least the wall is clean
Where her picture used to be
Love’s angel took a blind man’s shave on my heart.

N.D.E. - Macmichael [Unreleased]

Last night I put on a Dylan album
Watched some porno on TV
Sat down to drink a six pack
And had an N.D.E.
Felt my soul go through the roof
And swim out to a Jello sea
Watched all my childhood photos
Play a slideshow right in front of me.

Heard Jimi Hendrix playin’
Just one note for an eternity
And I never felt so sad
But then I never felt so happy
As the sun just then decided
To dissolve around and in me

And I’m speeding down this tunnel
Towards the undulating light
But I never seemed to get there
Though I tried with all my might
Somewhere a phone was ringing
Guess my other body knew
That I wasn’t supposed to be here
And the golden light withdrew….

And when I got back
It occurred to me
Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be.
